Fields of Fear at Cox Farms, Centreville
Partake in nighttime adventure at Cox Farms located in Centreville. Walk through 20 acres of fields of cornfield in the dark every Friday and Saturday nights, September 30 to October 30, 7:30-11 pm (last entry 10 pm). Enjoy dark side hayride and participate in torch lit slide, bonfires and music.
The Fields of Fear is not recommended for children under 12. Visitors under fourteen years and under must be accompanied by an adult. Purchase tickets online (group and combined tickets are also available). You may purchase food, snacks, hot and cold drinks (no alcohol allowed) at an additional cost.

Paranormal Tours at Oatlands, Leesburg
Situated in Leesburg, Oatlands is a 19th-century mansion that encompasses around 200 years of American history. Today it is a National Trust Historic Site and a National Historic Landmark.
During the last week of October, visit the stately Oatlands mansion for a guided evening paranormal tour where you are exposed to exciting ghost events and strange incidents happened at the property. Tours are offered every evening at 7 and 8pm. Reservations required.

Wicked-woods Haunted Forest, Spotsylvania
Prepared to get spooked as you experience the haunted forest and the haunted asylum located in Spotsylvania. Guests experience over 20 walkthrough scenes of horror and a longer trail. The Haunted asylum is the newest attraction. Not recommended for small children. The attraction opens Sept 30.

Clifton Haunted Trail
Clifton Haunted Trail is scheduled for October 29, 2011 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. Price of admissions $10.
“The Clifton Haunted Trail began in 2001, and continued uninterrupted until 2006, when a powerful storm knocked out the main bridge. The trail resumed in 2007 after the new bridge across Pope’s Head Creak was repaired. Weather hampered the trail in 2008 but in 2009, the Clifton Haunted Trail was rated by local reporters as one of the scariest and most entertaining haunted trails in Northern Virginia.”
NEW EVENT ADDITIONS
If you are around the local Herndon area, you can participate in a spooky experience at the Herndon Communtiy Center. From scary games, creepy witches and howling warewolves – the scene is all set for a chilling experience. Parents must accompany all kids. The admission price includes activities, magic show and a goody bag. For kids age 3 to 8.

The Vienna Halloween Parade
The Vienna Halloween Parade will be celebrating its annual event on October 26, 2011 at 7 pm. The parade now in its 65th years celebrates the tradition with the theme
“Celebrating 65 Years of Tradition:The Vienna Halloween Parade through the Decades, 1946-2011.”
Rain or shine, the parade willstart at Maple Avenue (Route 123) from Branch Road to Center Street. The route is approximately ½ mile long and lasts 1 ½-2 hours
Enjoy more than 100 entries along with nearly 35,000 participants and spectators.
