2012 Easter Egg Hunts in Northern Virginia

The first day of spring brings to mind pretty flowers, Easter bunnies, fun-filled egg hunts and more. Although 2012 Easter is scheduled for April 8, you can get in the holiday spirit early by participating in the local egg hunts with your little ones. Northern Virginia has plenty of Easter fun in store for you – so check them out before it’s too late.

Easter Egg Hunt & Marshmallow Harvest

Description: Join us for the first “crop” of the spring marshmallows! Do marshmallow peeps grow on trees? Be sure to check it out and harvest a few to roast on the bonfire with Farmer Bob. We will host multiple Easter Egg Hunts this year with over 7000 eggs! Come see our spring chicks and baby animals, check out the spring plantings in the greenhouse, take a hayride and rejoice the spring! Our jumping pillow, hayrides, slides, rope swings, 4 mazes, and farm animal barnyard will all be open and ready for family fun on the farm. Our Roosteraunte will be serving up BBQ, burgers, and hot dogs while our Country Store will be filled with new jams, jellies, and freshly baked pies and goodies.

Description: Spring has sprung and colorful eggs have been hidden all over the grounds of Rippon Lodge. Children are needed to help us hunt them up. In addition to egg hunts, children can enjoy crafts, games, pony rides, a moon bounce and train rides. Bring a picnic. Bring a basket for egg collecting. Egg hunts will take place at 11am and 1pm. Description:Come join us and the Easter Bunny for some festive fun.  Egg Hunts feature candy and toy-filled eggs.  Find those special golden goose eggs for a prize.  Kids and adults can get on the slides, take a hayride, visit our farm animals and roast marshmallows.  Bring your camera for photo ops with the Easter Bunny.  Please, arrive at least 15 minutes prior to the Egg Hunt and remember to bring your own basket or bag for collecting eggs.  Baskets will be available for purchase.  We request the emptied eggs to be returned at the end your visit so we can re-use (recycle) them if you do not wish to take them home.
